Within each person there are energy centres referred to as Chakras.

The sanskrit word “chakra” translates to “wheel” or “disc.”

These distinct wheels of energy are continually in motion and are represented by their own colour and vibrational frequency.  They regulate various emotional issues such as our survival instincts, our self-esteem, our ability to communicate and how we relate to other people.

Chakras are affected by energy, our own, and that of other people, and external influences, such as food, colour, our environment, illness/surgery and any traumatic experience we go through.

When energy moves freely through our Chakras, it translates into a feeling of well-being, relaxation, centeredness, and increased vitality.

If a Chakra becomes blocked or imbalanced (over or under active), this can lead to mental, emotional, physical and/or spiritual ailments and can mean the other Chakras do not function as well as they should. Having a basic understanding of the Chakra system and the physical symptoms that relate to it can help us heal quicker and more easily.
